Shower Base Revived with Expert Repairs

Failed grout and silicone rotted away the base of this shower.  Luckily we got to replace it before the water got through.  The damage was superficial.
 
We did surgery on this shower by removing the base tiles and two rows of the bottom wall tiles, installed a schluter drain and shower tray, and installed new mosaic tiles. We also removed all the grout between the wall tiles and applied fresh grout, then used sealant for added protection, which is what we do with all tile installations.
